Simple Sales Funnel - Photographer

Danielle is an alternative wedding photographer in Scotland, and all round awesome human! We have worked on so many fun projects together, but I wanted to highlight the simple (but by no means boring) sales funnel we created for her wedding photography business. 

Danielle's signature brand experience starts from the moment you land on her website - from a custom resources page packed with personality, to her alternative wedding guide - couples looking for a fun, boujee, "whole shebang" kinda experience will immediately fall in love with her badass approach to wedding photography.

Danielle is a busy Mum, who pours alot of her energy into her clients - during wedding season, it can be difficult to stay on top of things like marketing, especially on Instagram.

The number one goal for this project was to build a simple sales funnel that could work for her in the background, so that she could give potential clients her signature "boujee experience" right from the start and guide them through the process of considering her as their photographer to wanting to book her on the spot!

The second goal we had for this project was to grow her email list - allowing her to stay in touch with past clients, support them on the lead up to their weddings AND keep stay front of mind should they ever need a newborn photographer in the future.

It was important to identify some key goals and develop a strategy.

BEFORE I STARTED THE PROJECT

Keeping Danielle's soul aligned clients in mind, we created a free resource page with binge-able, bite-sized content for potential clients to read.

The page is filled with wedding trends, tips for including your fur-babies at your wedding - and all the things her dream clients are eager to know. Her brand ethos of "be you not them" is sprinkled throughout the page.

The point of this page is not to sell, but for clients to really get a feel of what she is all about, and most importantly what it would be like to work with her.

SIMPLE STRATEGIES

The next part of her sales funnel is getting the right type of client to sign-up for her lead magnet. Danielle has a really strong brand voice and ethos, so coming up with a lead magnet was easy.

We created an alternative wedding guide that was not only jam packed with valuable tips and advice, but also helped to build a connection with potential clients.

This guide will not only showcase her expertise and value, but also nurture potential clients, and give them a  small taste of what is to come, when you become one of her photography  clients.

Next, we set up her lead magnet to automatically be sent through Flodesk - so she could deliver value in her sleep.

The experience didn't end there - we set up a sales / nurture sequence to guide her potential clients to finding out if she was their lobster (aka, their dream wedding photographer).

Her sales sequence is filled with value - from sharing her best advice on how to plan a non-traditional wedding timeline, why albums are important, to feeling like your best self - she really goes above and beyond to deliver value and build trust with potential clients.

At the end of every value packed email is a gentle invitation to book a discovery call - this is the moment where people can decide if she is the right photographer for them!

This is the very end of her sales funnel, where ultimately people will be able to tell if she is a good fit for their wedding day! They are encouraged to fill out her contact form - but the experience doesn't stop there. 

We have carefully designed an inquiry & booking process to support her overall goal of attracting her soul aligned clients. Sure, not everyone is going to decide to book, but they still will have a really positive impression of her brand, and could lead to referring a friend in the future!

Why I love this simple sales funnel for photographers...

Danielle is able to continue to nurture and support potential clients, on repeat, with very minimal energy required. This is so important, especially as a wedding photographer, and allows her to rely less on social media and more on word-of-mouth referrals and SEO.

She is selling in a way that feels authentic & true for her - every stage of her sales funnel is filled with value & her awesome personality!

It allows her to build trust & connection - even if people have never heard of her before. Not only does it help people figure out if she is the right photographer for them, but also helps her connect with her dream clients (the ones she can best serve)!
